After 50km we rack up the bikes and transfer 3 hours to Dambulla breaking for lunch at Kununegala lake. Dambulla the 2nd century Buddhist cave temple, also known as the Golden Temple, it is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in the country and contains more than 150 Buddha statues.
